The Flats East Bank Masterplan has received Stage 1 certification from the USGBC (United States Green Building Council) in the LEED-ND Neighborhood Development Pilot program.

Construction has started!
Construction on Forum’s first single family residence has started in the historic Tremont neighborhood. Situated on the corner of West 11th and University Road, the new home will feature panoramic views of downtown. We are excited to see the project develop over the next several months and grateful to have had to opportunity to work on such a unique project, while expanding upon our typical building typology.

Fairhill Kinship Village featured in Plain Dealer article.
Forum is providing design and architecture services for the renovation of two 1920’s buildings into apartments for Kinship Care Families. The unique apartment concept is intended for grandparents raising their grandchildren. The renovations to the buildings on the Fairhill Campus have targeted a LEED for Homes Silver certification.

FORUM was recently published in Builders Exchange Magazine for the interior design of Snap-On Business Solutions. Located in Richfield, Ohio, the new facility was designed to meet the requirements for LEED certification and help the company develop a sustainable office model. Utilizing low VOC materials, maximizing recycled content in materials and materials manufactured regionally, and integrating the design with the building and control systems play an integral role in our continued development of sensible design solutions.
December/2008
FORUM has received an award in the 2008 Fairfax Intergenerational Housing Competition. This national competition, organized by Kent State University’s Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative, solicited designs for 35-40 sustainable and affordable housing units in Cleveland’s Fairfax neighborhood. Fairfax is currently exploring options for engaging the winners of this competition for the development of the final housing and public space design.
